thank you to someone

One of you crazy people nominated we move to canada for a 2005 Best Canadian Blog award, in the personal category. Whoever you are, I thank you.

I notice that two of my favorite Canadian blogs, Canadian Cynic and The Gazetteer, were nominated in the liberal category.

Now everyone go stuff that ballot box!

I'm kidding. I don't even know who votes or how the voting works.

  1. I bet it was Rob.

Actually, I think your entire readership are suspects. Except for Anonymous, I suppose. What you need to do is figure out which of the readership was aware that nominations had opened. Time zones may be a factor.

If in doubt, gather evryone in a room, smoke a pipe, and start laying out the case. Someone will crack!

  2. No, no, not the pipe! I did it!

  3. By the way, from what I can gather, voting has not started yet.

  4. I vote for Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with the candlestick. That always seemed particularly gruesome to me - getting clonked over the head with a candlestick.

Did you? Or were you just joking?

  6. Yes, I really did it. I think that your blog is well written and thoughtful -- and the reader participation is exceptionally good.

I heard about the awards from Canadian Cynic.

  7. I hope that the nomination doesn't ruin the community. I'll be run out of town on a rail!

Not an uncommon sentiment among people from the US these days.

    Oooooo!! That's right... I went there. ;)

  10. I just discovered your blog via that list (mine was mysteriously nominated too!), and I have to say, if it hadn't been nominated already, I would've done it myself.
